“Digital behavior” targeted as new opportunity for brands

The Duffy Agency forms international partnership with US-based online agency.

Malmö, Sweden /Boston, MA — The Duffy Agency, a full-service international branding and advertising agency, with offices in Malmö, Sweden and Boston, has entered into a joint business partnership with DigitalDay, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier online marketing agencies.  Both agencies are part of the Transworld Advertising Agency Network (www.TAAN.org).  Effective immediately, Mark Vitullo, founding partner of Digital Day will join The Duffy Agency in Sweden as Director of Online Marketing while handing over day-to-day operations of Digital Day to Frank Holmes, the firm’s General Manager.

''The move adds significant back-end digital capabilities to The Duffy Agency’s branding offer'' said John Reisky, the managing partner of The Duffy Agency’s Malmö office. The partnership is meant to address the growing level of influence a brand's digital behavior has with today’s consumer. Historically branding-oriented agencies, like The Duffy Agency, have been engaged in helping create and  develop a brand strategy and position as well as creating communication to ensure a consistent and uniform brand experience. Today, that brand experience is happening online. “In many instances, digital represents the largest touch point consumers have with a brand today.” said Rich Wahl, the managing partner of The Duffy Agency’s Boston office.  “And increasingly those consumers expect that online experience to include personalization, interaction and engagement.”

"With today's technology, websites now exhibit 'behavior' and how that behavior is experienced is a direct reflection on the brand, "said Sean Duffy, founder of The Duffy Agency.  “International brands need to do more than just use digital media and peer-to-peer networks to communicate their brand values.  We believe they can easily differentiate with coding that produce a brand experience across all their digital assets.”  By partnering with DigitalDay, The Duffy Agency will be able to ensure that the behavior a brand exhibits online lives up to and is consistent with the brand promise.

DigitalDay will enhance The Duffy Agency’s digital offerings with expertise in:

  • CRM integration
  • Email marketing
  • Content personalization (web and email)
  • Content syndication
  • Information capture
  • Cross-platform development
  • E-commerce solutions
  • E-couponing solutions
  • Content management systems
  • Enterprise web solutions
  • Custom intranets

For Digital Day, this partnership represents a way to help their existing clients more readily—and more effectively—gain access to global markets.  It also enhance Digital Day’s offer with front-end services like brand strategy and positioning, conceptual development, social media campaigns, analytics reporting, buzz monitoring as well as SEO strategy and tactics.

“DigitalDay has been fortunate to have engaged an impressive portfolio of market leading national brands over the last 14 years.  And the next change, for many of our clients, is to leverage the power of the internet to expand their presence outside national borders," said Mark Vitullo, a founding partner of DigitalDay Creative Group. "By teaming up with The Duffy Agency, we can now provide our clients with easier access to international markets and the strategic insights gleaned by The Duffy Agency's 20 years of helping international brands."

Over the last two decades, The Duffy Agency has consulted and implemented campaigns for many of Europe’s largest international brands. Today, the agency provides full-service international marketing support to companies based in Denmark, Spain, the UK, Germany, France, the US, China, Japan and, of course, Sweden.

"With our experience launching brands in different countries, our branding methodology, creative capabilities, our English-language proficiency, our international account service network and now our partnership with DigitalDay, we offer even more value to companies  across the Americas as well as Europe and Asia.” said Duffy.

The Duffy Agency was an evolution of Duffy & Co. which Duffy founded in 1991. Duffy & Co. focused exclusively on international brands but primarily worked with ad agencies.
