Five best viral videos of 2010

So many great viral videos occurred in 2010. Picking just one would be impossible as everyone has their favorite. Of all the great videos out there we picked five that we thought would sum up the year in viral videos. 

Bed intruder

Antoine Dodson has the distinct honor of having the only video that was also on Billboard Hot 100. His viral fame allowed him to buy a new house for his family in a less crime influenced area. 

The rent is too damn high!

Jimmy McMillan lost the New York gubernatorial race but thanks to his amazing speech in October, he’ll live on infamy. With the success of his video, he’s been able to launch a rap album and a make a documentary.

Double rainbow

One video captured the internet’s attention more than any other and that would be Paul Vasquez’s overly emotional video over a double rainbow. Paul was able to spin his love of rainbows into a popular commercial selling Live Photo Gallery for Windows.

Old Spice guy

No year end viral video list would be complete without the addition of Isaiah Mustafa’s captivating Old Spice guy. The campaign brought new life to the aged Old Spice brand. 

Werner Herzog Reads

If you haven’t seen any of the Werner Herzog Reads videos, then you haven’t had to reexamine your childhood memories for underlying subtext that might have perverted your adult perception of reality recently. He reads and adds commentary to such books as Curious George, Where’s Waldo, Madeline, and Twas the Night Before Christmas.
